MICHAEL JACKSON PHOTOGRAPH EXHIBIT – DAVID W. STREETS BEVERLY HILLS FINE ART

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

Michael Jackson Exhibition Dedicates New Beverly Hills Gallery

Rare photographs of Michael Jackson with sister, Janet and brothers – Jackie, Marlon, Tito and Randy, will be exhibited and available to the public for the first time ever at David W. Streets Beverly Hills Fine Art. These rare photos, taken during August of 1978, give a glimpse into the life of Michael and his siblings at a time in their lives when they were all experiencing a new beginning in LA. The occasion was an exclusive photo session in Los Angeles by noted Celebrity Photographer, Gregg Cobarr, prior to the release of their first album, “Destiny”, for their new record label, Epic Records. These historical images were created at two locations around Los Angeles – the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and a private lake in Westlake Village.

Cobarr’s photos portray the innocence, the excitement, the tenderness and heart of Michael Jackson in a way only he can describe. “I wanted to make sure that Michael felt free to be himself”, states Cobarr, “so that I could truly capture the essence of Michael. I wanted people to get a sense of Michael for who he really was and now more than ever, this is truly the important aspect of the photographs and of the exhibit.” The public has never even seen most of the photos and they have never, ever been offered for sale to the public.

Gregg Cobarr has over thirty years of professional experience with such music industry clients as Columbia and Epic Records, Capitol, RCA, Curb and Warner Bros. In the T.V and film industry, he has worked with 20th Century Fox and Columbia Pictures. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Brooks Institute of Photography and a Masters of Fine Arts Degree from California Institute of the Arts. Gregg’s work has been published both nationally and internationally and recently, he has presented Master Classes in Europe as well as several exhibitions.

David W. Streets, owner of David W. Streets Beverly Hills Gallery has beena Celebrity Fine Art Dealer with an international reputation for over 25 years. Streets’ collectors include a diverse group ranging from American Presidents to major corporations to first time and serious collectors to foreign dignitaries and famous celebrities.

All images exhibited in the gallery are signed by Cobarr and include a Letter of Authenticity. Gallery owner, David Streets has decided to donate a portion of a special, very reasonably priced “Tribute Photo” to one of Michael’s charities. The Michael Jackson exhibit will open on Wednesday, July 8th. David W. Streets Beverly Hills Fine Art is open from 11 to 6 daily, Sunday by appointment, and located at 9411 S. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, 90210. The gallery can be contacted at 310-275-3464 or by emailing David W. Streets to:

Sonic the Comic Original Art Bring me the Head of Coach Brikka

Friday, March 5th, 2010

More Sonic the comic original art.

This is from a strip called Bring me the Head of Coach Brikka. The strip was 6 parts long and 5 pages long in each chapter. It was based rougly on the Mutant League Football game for the Sega Megadrive.

The plot: Basically there is this Mutant League Football team thare are near unbeatable. One reason is that their coach has the best tactics that the world has ever seen, no other coach can compare.

A rival teams coach decides that he wants to win this years Mutant League Football Tournament. His plan is to hire a mad scientist to create a team of robots for him, however another part of his plan is to get the head of coach Brikka and wire it upto his robots, downloading his knowledge and tactics into their heads, making them the greatest football team the world has ever seen.

The evil coach gives coach Brikka a poisioned slice of pizza which results in his head flying off like a rocket. For almost 3 parts the plot is about coach Brikkas head being chases by his star player and the mad scientist.

The strip randomly cuts to adverts in the mutant world and at one point the strip cuts to the Mutant League Winter Olympics.

Eventually the head is captured by the evil coach and wired upto the robots.

The star player of Brikkas team makes a deal with the evil coach, winner takes all, Brikkas head, the championship and his daughters hand in marriage.

Brikkas team win the league and the head is returned to it’s original body. Brikkas Star player marries Brikkas daughter.

And if you thought that sounded bizzare… wait until you read it yourself.

30 SECONDS TO MARS #2 – Speed Art Painting – Stephen Quick

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

- 30 Seconds To Mars Painting Stephen Quick-
Hello all!!!
As you can see I have made a bit more effort on this painting video of Jared Leto from 30 Seconds to Mars (30STM), I hope you approve!

The painting is on canvas, painted in acrylic and took me about 3/4 hours not totally sure, yes it was drawn first on the canvas before painted, im not that good!! But I haven’t filmed the drawing bit maybe in the future I will.

Okay as for more effort in the video, most of my time lapse painting films are just that a time lapse shot on a creative web cam, this one has been speeded up 3000% or something like that, filmed on a mini DV cam direct to the hard drive and edited on premiere.

Of course the song is by 30 Seconds To Mars “Beautiful Lie” from the album of the same name.

The painting is by me Stephen Quick, I do not have a song or an album but I do have lots of paintings and a lovely web site that you can visit to see all these lovely things:

http://www.splinteredstudios.com

To see more photos of this painting visit this link:

http://www.splinteredstudios.com/30STM2.htm

Hope you enjoy and please please please subscribe (is that desperate and sad???? maybe), for the people who already subscribed a massive thank you.

- Oh i have just watched the video up on youtube and looks like while encoding it the timing on a transition has gone out, as the music kicks in a the start that is when Jared is ment to appear!! little detail hehehe

PPS – yup ive seen the spelling (typo) as well!!
