The major disappointment for this guy was that he had not waited for the buck, but he had a great alibi. The buck was a long, long minute behind the doe, and while you think of the distance a deer can journey in that time, you’ll be able to see that he was wise in taking the doe when he had the possibility and never waiting for any buck which may not come.
