    I was brought up …
I was brought up the the idea that if you haven’t anything interesting or nice to say then don’t bother. What a dull post…rung along.

    You must realize …
You must realize that people who came to see this video only mutter, “What a dick,” and move on when they read a comment like that, right?

I mean, all I’m saying is, this is not your target demographic, you know?. Nobody scrolls down the comments section thinking, “I know I came looking for an interview with an artist I respect and admire, but still . . . I can’t help but wonder if a stranger has an opinion that differs with my own. Hey, someone does! I’m reevaluating my outlook.”

    word.

    “Democratize the …
“Democratize the public places”? Earth to Swoon-Girl, we don’t live in a democracy. We live in a republic. Further, your defacing of public spaces with your PERSONAL subject matter is hardly the best method of encouraging others to follow your lead; if that was your real motivation then you might have simply scrawled on walls words such as “Express yourself on the nearest public space.” Now you’re making installations? Didn’t you keep saying you spent your whole life studying classical art?

These videos MoMA is posting are fantastic! Swoon is such a hard working artist, it is great to see this kind of work being given it’s due. And what amazing imagery! Super talent! it would be great to participate in one of the installations. Thanks!

    If you’re referring …
If you’re referring to when she says working outside is different from working inside “because they’re different animals,” I think she is comparing the process of making working for a gallery versus work to be posted outside on a wall. Just as a note — the syncing of audio and video is not exact on the presentation, we had to make some edits for time.
