    @colnikky troll, …
@colnikky troll, really? This is intense work and just because it isn’t traditional doesn’t make it wrong or easier. The tools and techniques used are just as- if not more difficult (due to the time it takes to memorize the techniques and the fact that this is a fairly new style) to master.

Yo no sabía de este artista, sus imágenes de las mujeres son hermosas y la edición de este video ha hecho todo muy fascinante. Muy muy bueno!

I enjoy all of your …
I enjoy all of your works martin. I like the colors you get by your method ( which I would describe as painting the same picture over and over again ).. Is it worth the extra time? A more traditional coloring technique would shave off hours of painting.

    Masrippa, with all …
Masrippa, with all due respect, I said nothing about photography or tv. A 3 year old child could see this is a video. I’m just saying while it’s pretty good, it doesn’t quite look like Kelly — the lips are too small, the face is washed out with a weird sepia tone, etc. As for the video, it’s waaay too frenetic for the subject, who represented, calm, cool beauty. Just my two cents.

  6. masrippa Says:

    So any painting …
So any painting would be pointless compared to any photograph?
Painting has no reason to exist since they invented Photography and TV?
BTW this is a video, can you see any beauty in it?
Can you see any beauty in any form of art at all?

Superb video, and great version of “Onda su onda”….

    I admire your …
I admire your efforts, but in the end, what’s the point of painting a portrait if it doesn’t look exactly like the subject?

does it take longer to do digitally than analog (oil on canvas?) Just curious. I’ve been playing with abstract work digitally and find it fun, after being a very low tech gal for years.
    Congrats on a great vid

    thanks for you …
thanks for you comment. I am not unhappy about a “velvet painting”. Why not?
And of course its painted by hand ;-) with a grafic tablet and a digital pen.

With “doing by hand” you mean “oil on canvas”?
I have done this for years. This way of digital painting is not so smudgy. And its easier to save. And much faster. And if you have done a mistake you can go back, step-by-step. Its much more effective to paint digital. Only the work itself is only a print. Not nice to hang on walls…

its a lot of work, …
its a lot of work, but the end result looks like a velvet painting. im not impressed. you should try doing it by hand, then lets see how good you are. what would ever happen to your skill if the electricity was turned off.

The whole speed painting this is amazing. But this one does not look like very much like her, unlike some of the other ones that I have seen. I have the real picture that he has used for this painting, and although you can tell who he’s trying to do, because of the hair style etc. the mouth and nose are off the mark, it looks more like Eva Marie Saint.
